What is making all of the difference?

Expanding the Pulpit through the Website

Pastor Dre Burgs came to us with the interesting idea of posting workouts and recipes as additional supplemental content from the church to the congregation. Since the congregation is comprised of active millennials this move contributed to an increase in engagement and a stabilization of engagement. More people were on the site, and the content they were consuming, was sharable and subsequently shared. Additionally, congregants came back to the site when new workouts or recipes were added, and they were added at the same time every week creating an expectation and a routine.

Optimizing the Email

Movement Church needed more for their email so we adjusted the time it got sent out and some of the design features. We also discovered that the majority of our retained users were not coming from the email, that social media was where we experienced the best retention and acquisition moments so we kept the email, but deprioritized it as we progressed. Keeping the email for consistency but expecting less from it given the data it was generating.

Being Intentional with Social Media

Movement Church upgraded their account to a full-service standard account in the last 30 days. When this happened we began to see that Social Media was more than an acquisition tool, it was a retention tool for their ministry. While this is true for all ministries we discovered that the engagement for their social media accounts drove more people to the website than the email. We discovered that their congregation’s channel preference is Facebook and our partnership grew their click-through engagement on Facebook by 700%. Yet, we also grew their Instagram’s click-through engagement by 240%.


Why I Love This Client Update

Movement Church Network was the first Client to sign up for Good Grain Creative. There are short term results and there are long term results. This story represents the first instance of a long-term result of a partnership with Good Grain Creative and it does not disappoint. 26% overall growth in 10 weeks is more than just a week on week analysis, it is a season on season analysis that shows that growth has not only occurred but occurred responsibly with statistical stability represented in the data.

Real Talk, 26% more people are engaging with the Gospel long term because of our partnership, and that engagement has created 26% more opportunities for financial contributions that were not previously there.

When I began to do this analysis I did not know how it would turn out. Yet it makes perfect sense to me how the numbers have played out and it makes me so happy that our first client is experiencing the best long-term results first for two reasons. First, they trusted us and partnered with us before anyone else and they are reaping the fruit of that, secondly, it affirms that the path we are on and our approach to servicing our clients. This data is vindicating and clears any suspicions regarding the validity and effectiveness and we expect that with all of our other clients we will see 26% growth or more when they hit the same time spent in partnership with us.

Additionally, the entire team and I continue to love Pastors Dre and Shawn Burgs, and what it means to work with them. Our partnership has been partnership and mutually beneficial. While we have assisted them in delivering these results, their critical eye on systems and efficiency have also helped us smooth out some of the hiccups in our system and that has not only helped them but all of our other clients as a result of their feedback. We are so excited about what is ahead for Movement Church Network and we are so proud of the fruit this partnership has borne thus far. We believe that this is an affirmation of Movement Church Network’s ministry in tandem with our strategic approach and contribution to their digital presence to it as well.
